Amsterdam – “The City of Freedom”

A few weeks ago my best friend flew from Birmingham to Amsterdam to visit me for a week. It was such a refreshing experience to explore Amsterdam from a different point of view. I usually just bike to uni and back, not really pay much attention to my surrounding. I guess sometimes you take for granted the touristy attractions in the place where you’re living in.

We also spent a day walking in the rain around the beautiful little town called Zaanse Schans, where the famous Dutch windmills are. The weather was freezing but we made nice memories.

One of the biggest perks of moving to the Netherlands for me is that I get to be closer to some of my closest friends. It was nice to spend a few days with her (if you’re reading this ew jk I don’t like you that much), cooking Viet food, staying up ’till 4AM, dancing, singing along to our throwback songs, rambling about the most random stuff, confessing our deepest thoughts.
